Biography: John Seidl is a life long stamp collector - with an entire room of his home filled with millions of stamps from around the world. John's experience includes building stamp collections of all types; by country, by topic, by historic period, and others. John works with collectors of all ages to help build their interest in philately (stamp collecting).
Stamp Collecting Merit Badge: The Scout need only bring their curiosity and desire to explore the world of stamps. All materials will be provided. The Scout is welcome to bring any stamp collection they may already have to share with the others in the program. Scouts will learn how stamps relate to history, geography, and current events. Each Scout will also learn about stamp types, stamp collecting tools, and how to create and display a stamp collection in an album.
